Insert, Edit and Delete Contacts

Insert new Contact :

Click in icon New Contact on the toolbar or in the menu Contact, click on New Contact.

Edit Contact :

Select a contact of the list and press Enter or click in icon Edit Contact of the toolbar or in the menu Contact, make a click in Edit Contact.

Delete Contact :
Select a contact from the list and press Delete or click in icon Delete Contact on the toolbar or in the menu Contact, make click in Delete Contact.

 


Print

Print contact list:

To print your contact list click in the icon Print of the toolbar or in the menu File, make click on Print and next in List.

There are 2 types of impression :

 Memo - print in Memo style.

 Telephone list - It prints in Telephone list style.

You will be able to print every name, the names of a group or just the name you have selected.


 Print envelopes:

To print an envelope, it has necessarily to be filled the sender in the Telist options. After inserting the sender with its data, click in icon Print Envelope of the toolbar or in the menu File, make click on Printing and later in Envelope.

Select the method of feeding for envelopes of your printer and click in Print.

NOTE: It will be only valid Envelopes standard (110x220mm) or similar size.



Find Contacts

To find a contact click in icon Find Contact of the toolbar or in the menu Contact, make click on Find Contact.

You can search in any field of the database.



Users - Create, Edit, Delete

By default Telist don't have any user created. To create users, in the menu File make click in Users and later in Create. When you create the first user, this will be the user administrator with the maximum of permissions. The next users will be able to have or not same permissions that the user administrator.


Groups - Create/Edit/Delete

By default Telist comes with 7 groups created (Friends, Customers, Colleagues, Companies, Family, Suppliers and Others). To create new groups, in the menu File click in Groups and later in Create.

To delete groups, in the menu File make click in Groups and later in Delete. You will be able to move the contacts of the group to another, or simply remove it all.



Options

 To access to the Options window, click in icon Options of the toolbar or in the menu Tools, make click on Options.

Envelopes

Insert name and address in the Sender. This text will be used in the impression of envelopes.

Insert the text that will appear before the name and address in Receiver.

Anniversaries

Select the number of days that you desires to be informed until the o day of anniversary. You will have 3 options to choose:

  Show reminder when program starts and change of the day - It always informs the anniversaries when Telist is initiated and in the change of the day (00:00).
  Show reminder only when program starts - It only informs the anniversaries when the Telist is initiated.
  Never shows anniversaries reminder - you will be never be informed of any anniversary.

Memos

Here you will be able to choose the type of letter and color of memos, however each memo can have its proper type of letter and color.

Database

If you want access to a shared list of contacts, you will have to click in Search and select the name of the file of the remote computer. The changes will be updated after restarting the Telist.

You will be able also to modify the location of the database even if you access the database localy.

Startup

Select the option "Initiate in the start of the Windows" if you desire that the Telist is initiated when you enters in the Windows. In case that you desire that the Telist initiates minimized, select the option "initiate minimized".

Select the option "Don't initiate on the start of the Windows" if you don't desire that the Telist is initiated when you enter in the Windows. In this case the Telist will not inform anniversaries, tasks, verify e-mails or will appear memos in the desktop.



Tasks - Create/Edit/Delete

To create a new programmed task, click in icon New Task of the toolbar or in the menu Tools, make click on New Task. After filling the description of the task, you will have to select the date and hour that you intend to be informed. You will be able also to select the frequency with that you desire to be remembered of this task.


Insert Memo

To insert a new Memo, click in icon New Memo of the toolbar or in the menu Tools, make click on New Memo. The Memos had always appeared in the Windows desktop when Telist is executed. To delete it is enough to close the Memo.


Shared Database on Network

It is possible define path of database file located in a server or client computer. Click in Options icon or throught menu click Tools > Options > Database.
Click in Search button and select the database file (ex.: telist.mdb)
Note: You must share the folder that contains database file with read/write permissions
